What I did was I grabbed my 5-subject Blog Notebook and walked around outside a bit. Before I walked though, I printed out some screenshots of a bunch of blogs/sites with designs I like (you know the ultra-coll, knock-your-socks-off designs). Walking (and randomly looking at the print-outs occasionally) was plenty of inspiration. I've got a sketch on paper, and I got a little into coding it, but currently I ran into an annoying IE bug with my CSS. So, the designs on hold until I get a response from the nice guys at W3Schools.com. :D Galleries didn’t help, though they usually do. Its easy to say - get inspired by CSS galleries etc. But sometimes, a break does wonders. Take a break from computer, and do things you usually dont....for me it was some gardening, reading etc. Once you refresh yourself, it helps. Here’s a tip - take a break.
