47 Inspiring Web Designs

Over the past few months, I’ve put together a number of new designs, such as MVH Media. Though I normally have a rough idea of what I want a design to look like before I start, I end up skimming through online design galleries, looking at other interesting designs. As I look at other peoples’ designs, I come up with more ideas that may go into the finished design. I ended up bookmarking some of the more interesting designs I came across, like I tend to do anyway (whenever I find a site with an interesting design, I bookmark it).

In the end, I had a folder full of links I thought had interesting designs, many of which have inspired some of my designs, and others that are just really good designs. So I decided to put together another design roundup post and clear out my “Interesting Designs” bookmark folder.

That’s all folks! If you enjoyed this post, remember to Stumble, Digg, Float, or [insert prefered social media site verb here].

Really a very nice inspirational post. I found quite some ideas to implement on my new blog. Thanks for taking the time and compiling this list. Gave it a digg !

I gave it a Digg, too.  It is great to see the Inspiring Designs.  Maybe one day I can get a pro design for my blog.  That would be fun.

lol nice list, you should rev up your site and put it on the list :P

@nhboss2, I’ve thought about it in the past, but in the end I tweaked it a bit but kept the overall look it has now. Nice and simple. :D (Who knows, I may totally revamp it sometime in the future, but I think it’s fine for now.)

@Jacob, What’s wrong with CNet? The worst thing about it is the yellow. It’s got good structure, decent navigation, and I like the edge effects on the main content area.

Great list, but why aren’t there any links to the sites???

  • http://www.insightfulness.net Remkus

You can click on the pictures. They will take you to the corresponding site

My apologies, you are correct.  For some reason in FF3, the cursor is not showing the hand, only the pointer.  I did not actually attempt to click on the images.  Again, great list!

@James, I get the same problem in FF3 for the Mac. It really bothers me sometimes. Are you on Mac, PC, or Linux?

  • http://www.xemion.com/blog/ James Paden

@Matt: PC, this is the only site I’ve noticed it happening on.
