@Julie, It depends. If 2.5.x is working fine for you, you can probably stick with it until 2.7 comes out. I'm not sure of the release date, so I'd keep an eye open for security alerts. If the developers release a security patch for 2.6 (2.6.1 was for functionality bugs, not security), it would be a good idea to upgrade then, seeing as the exploits may affect 2.5.x.

Thanks for the heads-up, Matt. I’m still on 2.5.x and haven’t yet gone to 2.6.x. Should I just wait for 2.7 or will I need 2.6 in order to go to 2.7? Many thanks for this fabulous blog. I read it religiously —
