Userplane’s webchat is flash-based, unlike the Java-based ParaChat. It not only has text, but audio and video as well. There aren’t ads, but it says that it’s provided by Userplane. Ordinary users can create rooms, though they can delete only the ones the created. There’s a little bit of admin control, mainly just kicking and banning. Take a look, you may like it. Userplane was purchased by AOL a year ago, but they’re still providing their services as they were before.

ParaChat
Jun 2, 2007 by Matt | Posted in Services and Tools No CommentsParaChat is one of the oldest, most well-known chat services out there. The client is java-based and they host it on their servers. There are some ads displayed in the chat-box, though their not too intrusive. To create a chatroom, you just fill out a form, cut, paste, and chat. Their paid plans are even better, though obviously not free. ![]()
