Poll: How Many Domains Do You Have?

How many domain names do you have registered at this time? Do you just have one, or do you have a massive portfolio, some you’re actively using while others are stashed for a future project or for sale?

I’m somewhere in the middle. (They sure add up over time, don’t they!) I have a grand total of 13 at the moment. Most of them are in active use, or had been at some point. A few others I have plans for. Only one is just a domain I registered because I liked the sound of it, but didn’t have any real plans for it.

I have somewhere between 20 and 30 domains personally, I think.

My company has somewhere on the order for 300-400 domains, of which we use 6.

That's a pretty big ratio. What does the company do…?

Our principle business is printing checks, but we do deposit slips, prescription pads, forms, business cards, things like that, along with over cash management supplies such as deposit bags & stamps, envelopes, etc.

I have only two domain names. I had a few more month ago, but sold them. I think that I don't need many domain names. If I don't use it anymore I just sell domain name and that's all.

Just wondering, how did you go about selling them? I have one that I might want to unload.

I have a few friends which are making business from domain buying-selling, so sometimes sell for them. But sometimes I find new forums with the same topic like my domain and trying to sold my domain there.

          Not a bad idea. Mine's WordPress-related. I don't know how much money I'd get off it, but…

you can check for related domains prices in sedo.com.. If you think related domain prices are not too big or not too small, then use the midle of realted prices. :)

I recently started a new website(in addition to my 5 or 6 others) with a fantastic domain name (HeadlineTopics.com)and have already received some non-spam email asking if an offer to buy the site URL from me is premature, since it's brand new. It's funny how you try to dream up a great site in your head and the second you publish it to start building content someone tries to buy it from you.Is it normal for someone to request purchasing a site or do web master's seek the customer when selling their websites?

I've had people try to buy sites I've put a lot of effort into, and my answer has always been a firm "no." I'm always wary of unsolicited purchasing offers (despite not wanting to sell anyway). If I'm going to sell, I'm going to do it on my terms. A public auction on SitePoint, for example. Just my two cents.

I currently have 8. I don't buy and sell domains I buy them for blogs and then simply don't have the time to run them and let them run out. :(

Is there a tool where you can type in a Domain and it will give you a list of all domains listing to that domain.
    Eg…Google
    gooogl.com, googel.com etc
