WordPress Theme of the Month: Night Transition

This month’s featured, and free, WordPress theme is Night Transition by Web Kreation.

Night Transition is a nice theme, substantial, but fairly simple. It’s a two column theme with ample room in both the content area and the left-hand sidebar. Navigation is horizontal, across the top of the image header, which is editable if you don’t like the default one, but requires some work with graphics software (Photoshop, Fireworks, GIMP, etc) to change. Further up, along the very top, is an interesting panel that slides down (via a JavaScript trick) when the Log in button is clicked, offering a form for the user to login to the blog.

There are spaces predefined for 125×125 ads, which makes it real easy for you to drop-in my WP125 ad management plugin and start monetizing your site effectively.

Further down the page, there is a tabbed box that displays that displays categories, monthly archives, and your blogroll compactly, as well as an “About the Author” widget.

Overall, it’s yet another good quality theme.

hey nice theme….is it compatible with new wordpress 2.6 features?

@Blogger Templates, What WP 2.6 features, exactly? I’m not entirely sure about what it supports or not (you’d have to either ask the creator or check the template files yourself), I didn’t check very closely for that, instead focusing on the design itself. It should install and work with no problem with WordPress 2.6 though.

    Awesome template dude.

I have designed this theme for WordPress 2.5 but it works very well in WordPress 2.6. The only thing that is not supported is image caption which is new in the latest WordPress version. I want to submit my themes to the WordPress theme directory tomorrow so I will update them for WordPress 2.6 at the same time. Please, visit my site for updates.
